When his sell-out began morphing him into corporate-whore, I ignored all of his work for many years.

Most reviews say they worked extremely hard to recapture as much depth as possible. The regular CD and MP3 downloads all have that harsh flatness and dullness that most modern releases all share.

Perhaps one day I’ll hunt down the old vinyl versions of this album and others, then ironically, play audio Svengali like they did with this edition of Quadrophenia.
